About Us

Created in 2011, MyFutureHawaiʻi is led by a strategic partnership between the Hawai‘i P-20 Partnerships for Education, Hawai’i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Hawai’i State Department of Education, and the University of Hawai‘i System. Our strategic partnership brings together state-level stakeholders across K-12, post-secondary and the workforce to improve the college and career planning process for our users and to ensure the State of Hawai‘i’s long-term educational and economic success.

MyFutureHawaiʻi was created to empower all Hawai‘i learners to create their most rewarding life, to positively impact state-level education and workforce initiatives, and to ensure that the State of Hawai‘i remains competitive in the 21st century.

Through a strategic collaboration among our partners, MyFutureHawaiʻi provides a single, comprehensive college and career platform comprised of tools and resources from across state agencies in order to encourage realistic goal-setting and support purposeful planning. Our goal is to empower every Hawai‘i learner with the resources and support to know their college and career options and seek out opportunities to better their lives.

Our Partners

Hawai‘i P20 Partnerships for Education

Hawai‘i P-20 manages the MyFutureHawai‘i project and provides project funding through College Access Challenge Grant awards. MyFuture Hawai‘i supports Hawai‘i P-20’s mission to strengthen the education pipeline from early childhood through higher education to achieve college and career success for all Hawai‘i’s students, including the state’s ‘55 by ’25’ campaign, with a goal to have 55% of working-age adults hold a two- or four-year degree by the year 2025.

Hawai‘i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations

In 2013, MyFutureHawai‘i and Career Kokua merged to create a single, comprehensive college and career planning platform for users across the state, providing current Hawai‘i and national data and statistics on occupations, industries, military, and other sources from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

University of Hawai‘i System

In 2014, MyFutureHawai‘i and the University of Hawai‘i System released an integrated application tool, allowing MyFuture Hawai‘i high school users to easily complete and submit their applications to all University of Hawai‘i campuses directly through MyFutureHawai‘i platform.

Hawai‘i State Department of Education

In 2012, MyFutureHawai‘i integrated with the Hawai‘i State Department of Education’s student information systems to provide users with a personalized portfolio and better academic and college and career planning capabilities.
